About EEP
The EEP exists since 1994 and is a Europe-wide association association of now seventeen environmental magazines. Each member is considered the leader in its country and is committed to building links between 400,000 environmental professionals across Europe in both the public and private sectors.
The EEP-mission is to promote knowledge on environmental issues: internally through mutual benchmarking on best practices for the making of environmental magazines, externally through distributing the best possible (accurate, timely, useful) information to it’s own subscribers but also to a wider audience in the form of a free electronic newsletter.
The EEP works closely together with the main environmental fairs in Europe and has established a partnership with the European Federation of Associations of Environmental Professionals (EFAEP).
Not all EC-countries have a EEP-member. The reason for this is that at present not every EU-country has a magazine that meets the standards of quality and independence that EEP has set for its members. To reach the situation where all EC-countries will have magazines-members, the EEP recently decided to accept publications that have not yet reached said standards as so-called affiliated members, and work with them in reaching the status of normal member.
